This Privacy Policy describes how Gigs Simplified ("we," "our," or "the app") handles information when you use our mobile application. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about our data practices.

Summary

Gigs Simplified is a privacy-first app. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on our servers. All your earnings, mileage, shift data, and tax information stays on your device.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following to our servers:

Your earnings or income data
Your mileage or trip history
Your location data (used only on-device for mileage tracking)
Your tax estimates or write-offs
Your shift logs or work history
Any personally identifiable information
Analytics, advertising identifiers, or usage tracking

Information Stored on Your Device

The app stores the following information locally on your device using your device's secure storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it:

Earnings entries you record
Mileage and GPS tracking logs
Shift start/end times
Tax estimates and deductions
App preferences and settings
Subscription status (Free or Pro)

Location Data

Gigs Simplified requests access to your location to automatically track mileage during deliveries. Specifically:

Foreground location is used while you are actively using the app to log your trips.
Background location is used while you are working a shift, even if you switch to other delivery apps (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.), so mileage tracking continues uninterrupted.
Location data is processed entirely on your device to calculate distance traveled. It is never transmitted to us or any third party.
You can revoke location permissions at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.

In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Gigs Simplified offers optional Pro subscriptions (Monthly and Yearly). Purchase processing is handled by third-party services:

Apple In-App Purchase: All payments are processed by Apple. Apple's Privacy Policy applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and validate purchases. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user identifier and the purchase receipt from Apple. RevenueCat's Privacy Policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/

We do not collect or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.

Data Exports

The Pro version of the app allows you to export your earnings and mileage data as PDF or CSV files. These exports are generated on your device and saved/shared at your discretion. We do not have access to or copies of any exports you create.

Children's Privacy

Gigs Simplified is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party SDKs, which may collect limited technical information solely for the purpose of providing their service:

RevenueCat — Subscription management. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Apple Services — Standard iOS frameworks for location, storage, and in-app purchases.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect or store any of your personal data on our servers, there is no data for us to provide, modify, or delete on request. To delete your data:

Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data, or
Use the app's built-in settings to clear specific data types.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
